Long-suffering fan Brian Schaefer elated to see Hawks win Cup

Eighteen years later, including a rough stretch of missing the playoffs in nine of ten seasons, Chicago was back in the finals up 3-2 on the Flyers with a chance to end the drought in Philadelphia.
Schaefer watched Game 6 on a Wednesday night at his Listowel home with his wife Linda and son Tyler.
“I spent most of the time on my knees in front of the TV,” he said.
