Detroit assistant GM Jim Nill remembered competing on the ice against Aubry’s dad. “(Wings GM) Kenny (Holland) played with his dad and I played against him,” Nill said. “(Louis-Marc) is a good sized kid and he skates well. We’re going to keep developing his skill and go from there.”
Aubry was of the belief that his inclusion in the Top Prospects game at the WFCU Centre played a large role in his draft status. “I went in there and played a pretty good game,” Aubry said. “Being able to compare myself to the best players in the draft and doing well, it really boosted my confidence.”
